International Dance Festival in Urban Landscapes
The International Dance Festival in Urban Landscapes brings its performances and workshops to the streets of Barcelona. For four days, every inch of urban space - public buildings, parks, streets and squares - transforms into a stage for professional acts.

Also known as Dies de Danza, the event is an important thread of Barcelona's summer arts extravaganza, the Barcelona Grec Festival. The programme features over 50 performances by local Catalonian talent as well as acts from all over the world. There is also a parallel series of workshops, where budding dancers can learn from professional choreographers.

Every year, the organisers focus on a different dance style, like African contemporary in 2006 and Asian interpretative in 2007. In 2008, hip-hop, or more specifically breakdance, took centre stage.
